(descriptions taken from fun in austin website)

Blue Starlight Drive In (http://www.austindrivein.com/)
Blue Starlite Mini Urban Theatre in East Austin is the city's only drive-in theater. With a focus on art house, indie, and cult films Blue Starlite screens all the classic drive-in fare. And the theater doesn't just do cars, either. Tickets are available for bikes and pedestrians too.

Cornucopia Popcorn (http://www.austincornucopia.com/c.php?p=1)
Skip those old school popcorn cans and surprise your family with a batch of handmade gourmet popcorn from Austin's Cornucopia. Choose from seasoned, candied, or chocolate-covered popcorn.

Sam's Bar-B-Que

Stop into this Sam's Bar-B-Que, an East Austin treasure, and get your fill of Memphis style brisket and barbecue. But
make sure you leave room for the best banana pudding in town

Cafe Monet: (http://www.cafemonet.org/)

Cafe Monet is a paint your own pottery studio. Get creative with your friends or get some peace and paint the stress away. They also offer mosaic classes, and, with their daily specials, this is a hobby that won't break the bank

Counter Cafe:  (http://www.countercafe.com/)
Voted Best Burger by Texas MonthlyThe Counter Cafe serves up breakfast (all day) and lunch until 4 p.m. With the best grilled pimento cheese sandwich in the city, those famous burgers, grilled quail, fried oysters, and more, The Counter Cafe will soon become your favorite lunch spot.

Recycled Reads:  (http://www.recycledreads.org/)
Recycled Reads, owned and operated by Austin's Public Library System, is a used bookstore that sells heavily discounted books. Take some time to browse through their $1 paperback section and add to your bookshelf collection

Gourdoughs Donuts: (http://www.gourdoughs.com/)
Gourdough's makes giant gourmet donuts using a mouthwatering array of toppings. We can't think of a better way to kick off the fall season than by chowing down on The Flying Pig, a maple-glazed donut topped with bacon

Boggy Creek Farm/Market : (http://www.boggycreekfarm.com/)

Boggy Creek Farm is a USDA certified organic urban market farm. It's open to the public every Wednesday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and once you get a taste of this fresh local produce, you might find grocery shopping a bit... stale

The Paper Place: (http://www.paperplaceaustin.com/)
No matter what your stationary needs, Paper Place probably has just the thing, in chic, modern patterns and prints. Stop by their shop and browse the room chock full of notepads, wrapping paper, gift bags, photo albums, picture frames, desk accessories, rubber stamps, ribbons, and craft item

Stunt Ranch Paintball: (http://www.hill13.com/)
Stunt Ranch Paintball is the ultimate 'combat' paintball experience. Get a taste of what it's like to navigate the bunkers and dodge machine gun towers and sniper nests. The best part is, you don't need to bring a thing -- well, except your A-game

Lustre Pearl:

Lustre Pearl isn’t just a bar- it’s also a house, meaning multiple rooms to explore, comfy lounge furniture, a huge patio and most importantly a spacious backyard stocked with everything from hula hoops to ping-pong tables. After you indulge in a little friendly competition on one of the two outdoor ping pong tables, pull up a yard chair and enjoy $2 beer specials and freshly made Bombs Tacos

I deleted my first comment because I left words out and it made no sense. Must have been distracted as I longed to be at some of the places on this post! They look like a lot of fun. Have you been to any of them.
